Your first Reykjavik cruise day

Most guests arrive on a transit call: the ship arrives, you go ashore, and you reboard the same day (or after an overnight when the calendar shows it). Start with harbour and berth on the schedule, then use Find my cruise before locking a tour.

Two harbours, different walks

Gamla höfnin sits beside downtown. Sundahöfn is further east — Skarfabakki, Vör, and Korngarður often need a short transfer before city streets begin. Do not assume every berth is a five-minute stroll to Laugavegur.

Transit first

If you are reboarding, choose a shore excursion that fits published hours — Golden Circle needs a solid window; a city walk or whale watch fits tighter calls. Save Keflavik airport transfer for turnaround passengers who are embarking or disembarking.

Weather and dress

Capital-region weather changes quickly. Waterproof layers and grippy shoes matter as much on a city walk as on the Golden Circle.
