FAQ
Reykjavik cruise FAQ
Is Akranes the same as Reykjavik?
No. Akranes is a separate Faxaflóahafnir port (DOKK port=2). It is excluded from our Reykjavik schedule and is not a product hub on this site. See the Iceland cruise ports index for a short hazard callout.
Gamla höfnin or Sundahöfn?
Both are Reykjavik under Faxaflóahafnir. The official calendar lists harbour and berth separately. Downtown walking time differs — check your row on the schedule or port guide.
What does turnaround mean?
An official turn_around flag means embarkation or disembarkation logistics, not a simple transit shore day. We surface Keflavik airport transfer for turnaround guests and hide it from default transit recommendations.
Why isn’t Jökulsárlón listed as a cruise-day tour?
Extreme lagoon, glacier, and long South Coast circuits need roughly 10–15 hours and belong to long-stay, overnight, or turnaround planning — not normal transit product pages.
Calling at Akureyri or Ísafjörður?
Use the sister specialists: Akureyri Shore Excursions and Ísafjörður Shore Excursions. This site does not publish their schedules.
How do I book?
Everything is request-to-book via Enquire — no live checkout or invented Offer markup on this site.
